My Story
I'm Vincent Goldberg, LCSW, a bilingual psychotherapist based in Brooklyn, New York, with experience providing therapy in both integrated medical and community mental health settings. I earned my Master of Social Work from NYU and have advanced academic training in anthropology and social science, which informs the way I think about emotional well-being in the broader context of culture, identity, family, and lived experience. My approach is warm, thoughtful, and practical, drawing from CBT-based therapy, trauma-informed care, and a collaborative style that helps clients feel genuinely understood while also moving toward meaningful change. I tailor treatment to each person's needs, integrating insight-oriented, culturally responsive, and skills-based approaches depending on a client's goals, strengths, and life circumstances. I believe effective therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and I work flexibly so that treatment can evolve over time in ways that feel both supportive and useful.
I work with adults, young adults, and adolescents facing anxiety, depression, stress, grief, life transitions, and the pressures of navigating complicated personal or family circumstances. I also have particular experience working with Latino clients, immigrants, and Spanish-speaking individuals and families, and I offer therapy in both English and Spanish. Many of my clients are looking for a therapist who can offer depth, cultural sensitivity, and a grounded, relational approach — someone who can help them better understand themselves while building resilience, clarity, and a stronger sense of direction in everyday life. Because no two clients are the same, I adapt the therapeutic process to what feels most helpful in the moment, whether that means building coping tools, exploring deeper patterns, or making space for reflection and insight.
